Circuits (Lightbulbs)

Alright you guys, I’m back with more unfunny, educational comics. I’m approaching my examination periods soon, so I might not be able to post comics so regularly any more. I’ll still try to do it once every 3 days though.

Anyway, circuits are quite simple to understand, thankfully. As said, circuits are usually used to make light bulbs. Energy from the batteries go through the wire to the light bulb, and the light bulb lights up.

Batteries are a source of stored chemical energy. Basically, they store all that energy that can only be used only for specific things, like powering toys and light bulbs. They cannot be eaten. (because they are made of chemicals) When you connect a wire to a battery, the chemical energy turns into electric energy, and then it can go all the way to the light bulb to light it up.

There are some important rules to remember when forming your circuit:

A circuit

1. The electricity must flow (it means move, but flow sounds better) in a loop. In other words, you’ve got to have one piece of wire connecting one side of the battery to the lightbulb, and one piece of wire connecting the lightbulb to the other side of the battery.

2. No broken wires. Or else you’ll be breaking Rule 1. The electricity cannot flow if the wire is broken.

3. Make sure you put your wire onto the right part of the lightbulb. Put it at the little black thing (known as the electrical contact) at the tip of the lightbulb.


4. Finally, make sure you put the wire at the right place at the battery, Try putting your wires at the tips of the battery. DO NOT try wrapping the wire around the battery. It simply will not work.

Anyway, that’s all for batteries now. Maybe later I’ll edit it to add some more stuff about extra batteries and bulbs, but there is a group of people who do not read this description but only the comics. who are waiting. So, that’s all for now, and Lim Kiat is logging off.
